With time winding down, the Saxons attempted a pass at the top of the zone that landed in an outstretched stick of Edmondson with 14.7 ticks to go, who took off towards the Mustangs offensive zone racing both the opponent and clock. Edmondson drove to the left and rifled a shot just inside the arc that went through the feet of Tarajos to tie the game at 13 and force the extra period.
In overtime, Waldau put Morrisville State up 14-13 on a free position with nearly three minutes into the extra frame, but Gallipeau quickly responded with a drive down the center of the arc for the tying score with 2:34 remaining.
Morrisville State regained possession on the ensuing opportunity and with 1:28 to go, Dorrance connected with the quick stick of Edmondson to give the Mustangs the 15-14 advantage.
Alfred won the draw, but a caused turnover by the Mustangs defense regained possession for Morrisville State. As time wound down, Edmondson was able to get another shot off, and found the back of the net as time expired to seal the victory for the Mustangs.
