MORRISVILLE, N.Y. –
Senior offensive lineman Nate Ryan (Staten Island, N.Y.)placed his mark on the Mustang football program in 2013, becoming the first Morrisville State student-athlete to receive an invitation to the D3 Senior Classic, and has since become the first in football history to be invited to the FCS (D1-AA) Senior Scout Bowl.
Only a select number of Division III athletes are invited to participate in the event. Roughly 11-18 pro scouts attend the 3-day event with approximately 34% of the players signing NFL contracts, while 61% sign some sort of pro contract (CFL, Arena, Europe etc).

Ryan is a three-time All-New Jersey Athletic Conference selection at offensive line, receiving honorable mention honors twice, and first team accolades as a senior this past season.
A 2013 USA Small College Division III preseason honorable mention All-American, Ryan started all 10 games for the Mustangs at left guard.
He was instrumental to an offensive unit that led the nation at the conclusion of the regular season in first down offense, and was ranked ninth overall in total offense (501.3 yards per game).
In late November, he earned D3football.com All-Region East second team at offensive line accolades, concluding his career with the Mustangs as one of the most decorated offensive linemen to represent the program.
Ryan is a graduate of Port Richmond High, and is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. He is the son of Diane and John Richmond of Staten Island.
